Along with the normal pickup, Bay View will collect up to 1½ cubic yards (about 11-12 large black bags) of unwanted items. However, El Cerrito Recycling will accept a wide variety of materials for recycling and has an Exchange Zone for still-useful albeit unwanted items such as
Art and office supplies
Corks: barrel for corks
Garden pots - re-useable plastic and ceramic pots, planters. Bin located by compost
Hangers: bin for metal, plastic, or wooden clothes hangers
Houseware: plates, cups, utensils, small appliances.
Media: Bins for Books, Magazines, CDs (we are temporarily not accepting VHS tape and cassette tapes as they damage processing equipment.)
Office Supplies: notebooks, paper, clips, pens, binders in good condition, etc.
Reading glasses: Lions Eyeglass Recycle Program donations. Drop slot is located on the outside of Exchange Zone on the north side of the structure. You may also bring glasses into the office.
Sporting goods: no large equipment
Small household items: lamps, small bookcases, trays. (no large furniture)
